Selling a car with no title
The missing title is the reason most dead cars sit for years. It's a real complication and it's usually not the end of the conversation.
What that looks like
- Photo ID and the registration or old plate help a lot
- We need the VIN from the dash or the door jamb
- Car in someone else's name? Say so first, it changes what we need
- What's possible depends on Illinois rules and the specific vehicle
Have this ready when you call
Year, make and model; the cross streets where it's parked; whether it rolls and steers; whether the converter and wheels are still on it; and whether you have the title. That's enough for a real figure.
If it's blocked in behind another vehicle, sitting in a locked garage, or down an alley a flatbed can't manage, say so - we'll send the right truck first time.
